In reality Excel isn’t actually maximized in the sense that the Excel window is ‘stuck’ to the edges of our monitors, it is really just stretched across all the available space. If you click on the maximize button at the top left of the Excel window, you’ll see that it snaps to fit the entire primary screen. Actually, you don't need to open two instances of excel. You can use a single
instance.

If you wanted to keep using multiple instances, I would save each of the
attachments (to the local harddrive???) and use File Open (or the equivalent in
xl2007+) to open in the instance I wanted.

I know I need to open 2 instances but if I open a file how do I choose which instance it opens in. Example. I open a stock sheet from Outlook that contains data. I need to open another excel file from an attachment in outlook and want it to display on a second screen. I open another instance of excel and then double click to get the attachement open. All that happens is it keeps on opening in the first instance of excell.. Is there any work around to actually let the file open in the 'last active' excell..?
Please help as it is frustrating to have to save both attachements and then having to open from within in excel.. Doing it 70 times a day is time consuming..
